Plot: Set during the period of the brightest eras of Andalusia, the era of Abd al-Rahman III and his son Al-Hakam II; Muhammad ibn Abi Amir, aka Almanzor, comes from Algeciras seeking knowledge in the city of Cordoba but then transforms from a merchant and hireling to the ruler of Andalusia.
