Plot: This season's theme of fairy tales is represented by Russian composer Liadov's tone-poem trilogy - Baba-Yaga, The Enchanted Lake and Kikimora - taken from old folk tales, and Stravinsky's ballet music The Fairy's Kiss, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen. Between are Knussen's settings of four poems by Walt Whitman , and the premiere of German composer Detlev Glanert 's Theatrum Bestiarum
