Plot: Al-Hajjaj's attempts to make peace with Abdullah fail after the latter refuses to comply with the Caliph's order to step down from his control of Mecca and any mandate he has in the Islamic empire. Al-Hujjaj sends a letter to the Caliph requesting permission to invade Mecca
