Bio: A historian of Costa Rican and Central American cinema, she is a professor at the University of Costa Rica (UCR), a researcher at the New Latin American Cinema Foundation, and director of Cinergia (the Fund for the Promotion of Audiovisual Production in Central America and Cuba). She was director of the first Film and Television School at Veritas University and of the Costa Rican Film Production Center
